Total time depends on a variety of factors including weather, aircraft availability, instructor availability, and student skill level. While times may vary, obtaining your private pilot certificate can be done in less than a year. Check out our timeline page for more details.

Our primary workhorse is our fleet of Cessna 172s. Depending on which airplane you fly, our Cessna 172s are outfitted with six pack steam gauges, Garmin G5 flight displays, and Garmin G3X flight displays. For multi-engine training, we have a Piper Seneca with a G5 and autopilot.

The total cost of flight training varies depending on how many hours you need, certificate sought, and airplane chosen. For a private pilot certificate plan to budget between $10,000 to $15,000. For more information, check out our cost estimator page.

While we don't directly offer financing or scholarships to our students, we have partnered with a few financing companies to help students fund their pilot training. Check out our financing page for more details.

SimpliFly offers training all the way up to certified flight instructor (CFI). This includes private, instrument, commercial, multi-engine, and CFI training. Many of our students have used the experience and training received here at SimpliFly and started successful airline carriers.

The FAA has medical standards that all pilots must meet in order to be the pilot in command (PIC) of an aircraft. This is done by a medical exam from an FAA approved medical doctor. However to just get started, you can do a discovery flight and start flight training. But by the time you're ready to solo, you'll have needed to complete a FAA medical exam. Talk to an instructor or one of our team members for more information.

Of course! After you complete training at SimpliFly, we guarantee an interview to be a certified flight instructor (CFI).
