How Long Will it Take?

Becoming a flight instructor depends on meeting certain requirements, including a commercial pilot license and instrument rating, with at least 250 flight hours. Once those requirements are met, training can be completed in as little as a week for full-time students or over a few months for part-time learners.

Our Accelerated CFI/CFII program is designed to get you certified in just 30 days, with new classes starting every month. If you are accepted into the program, you will be paired with an instructor and be surrounded with peers that are focused on the same goal you are: becoming a certified flight instructor.

What are the Eligibility Requirements?

• Be 18 years of age
• Read, speak, write and understand the English language
• Hold a commercial pilot certificate and an instrument rating
• Have logged at least 250 hours of flight time
• Hold a valid FAA 3rd Class Medical Cerificate (or higher)
• Receive a logbook endorsement from an authorized instructor on the fundamentals of instructing
• Pass a knowledge test on the aeronautical knowledge areas appropriate to the flight instructor rating sought
